We provide children, youthand adults an opportunity to explore, reflect, and learn in a nurturing spiritual community. Unitarian Universalist religious education programs focus on

  • Ethical growth – internalizing enduring values like justice, equity, and compassion, and gaining tools to act on them in everyday life.
  • Social growth – connecting with peers and people of all ages on a deeper level. Finding acceptance among people who see beyond the superficial.
  • Spiritual growth – feeling a connection with the sacred within, among, and beyond us.

At First Universalist, we offer a multi-age class for children, a youth group for teens, and various classes for adults.  Many of our programs incorporate social justice activities, worship opportunities, service trips, fellowship, and fun.

Our minister and members of the congregation lead many of our religious education programs – we find that both taking and teaching classes can be a very fulfilling way to deepen one’s own faith.

While we are rebuilding we are using a rented space, so while we welcome children in the sanctuary during services we will not have a separate area for the children before the church is built. We have activity books and crayons for the children to utilize during service.
